Sherry Harris Blue: Professional Biography

Sherry Harris Blue was a highly successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, and visionary living, working, and supporting the Jacksonville area. A native of Jacksonville and a graduate of William M. Raines High School, Sherry H. Blue entered the doors of Edward Waters College and graduated Cum Laude in 2002 with a Business Administration Degree. With that degree in hand, she quickly climbed the career ladder in a Fortune 500 Company and obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Despite her success in her career path, she felt called to follow the entrepreneurial footsteps of her parents. Taking the risk of leaving behind her corporate career, she opened her first business in 2008 by stepping into the ultra-competitive, male dominated industry of bail bonds. Her goal was to establish a recognizable brand within the industry that offered clients a professional, discreet, compassionate, and efficient personal experience. Her vision and hard work paid off as her bail bond company, Make It Happen Bail Bonds, grew into a highly recognized bail bonds provider throughout Florida. Their unofficial motto of "Bad things happen to good people" helped keep the work force of her multiple location business focused on compassion and getting their clients out fast, even in the most complicated of circumstances.

Sherry would later go on to hold various titles and responsibilities within Florida and National bail bond organization groups.

Her successful experience as a bail bonds business owner led her to establish a surety bond company, Executive Bonding Group, which still serves bail bond companies and others in the state of Florida.

In 2016, seeing an opportunity to once again revolutionize another competitive industry, she launched Luxuree Limo. The company's mission was to offer professional, punctual, and safe luxury transportation to the Jacksonville area. Having become the trusted choice of luxury transportation that parents choose to travel in to take their newborn home from the hospital, to transport their children to prom and graduation, as well as serving top clients of respected Jacksonville event planners and wedding planners, the company has quickly grown their brand and built their reputation as the luxury transportation service doing it different, better, and putting clients' unique needs and requests as their priority.

Sherry H. Blue's entrepreneurship extended beyond her own businesses, for she also mentored, advised, and consulted others in pursuit of launching their new business, growing an existing one, or those exploring current and future opportunities.

She served in prestigious roles for national organizations, held positions with multiple Board of Directors, was active in many leadership roles, and sought to serve her community which included a role with the Emerging Markets Task Force for the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center.

Sherry was the real deal when it came to living and thinking with a philanthropist mindset. In her personal life she sought to give back, share, and motivate as much as possible. As President of her companies she made sure her entrepreneurial ventures supported a variety of non-profits and community programs in Jacksonville.

She also founded and served as the Executive Director of the noted 501(c)3 non-profit charity, the Foundation for Fortitude.

The organization, which she often referred to as her Legacy, provides scholarships, mentoring, and educational programs to young college women in the Jacksonville area. They hold numerous charity fundraisers throughout the year, including a community social event fundraiser called The Pure White Affair that is important in funding scholarships. In the 2017-2018 scholastic year, the Foundation for Fortitude awarded more than $10,000 in scholarships to the young women in that year's program.

The Foundation’s educational programs include career and life skill modules such as Business Etiquette, Dress for Success, Networking, and Career Focused Social Media Practices.

Foundation for Fortitude was honored by the Jacksonville Mayor with a proclamation marking April 28, 2017 as "Ultimate Successful Woman Day" which is the goal put in front of each young woman going through the unique life lifting opportunity offered to them from Foundation for Fortitude.

Sherry was a highly sought after speaker, mentor, task member, and think tank group leader that was ready to serve and contribute to the Jacksonville community. She was often referred to as a Community Champion. Of all of her achievements, her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and her family of which she was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and wife.
